Halstead joined the company in 2009 and has served as executive sales director for Connecticut since 2021. He will split his time between New York City and Connecticut while continuing to focus heavily on the Connecticut market, where he has played a key role in regional growth.
“Christopher’s leadership, insight and commitment to excellence have long set him apart,” says Bess Freedman, CEO of Brown Harris Stevens. “He has an incredible ability to connect with our agents and managers, understand their needs, and execute strategies that elevate our business.
“I’m confident that in this new role, he will continue to strengthen our operations and position Brown Harris Stevens for long-term success.”

Halstead is part of a family with deep real estate roots. His uncle, Clark Halstead, founded Halstead — which later merged into Brown Harris Stevens.
Over 15 years with the firm, Christopher Halstead has been both a top-producing agent and a senior leader.
“I’m honored to take on this new role and continue contributing to a company that means so much to me and my family,” Halstead says. “Brown Harris Stevens has always represented integrity, teamwork and excellence. I look forward to helping strengthen our operations, supporting our agents and carrying forward our mission to deliver the highest level of service in every market we serve.”
