As nominations for the 2026 Tech100 Awards come to a close on Friday, Dec. 19, HousingWire is continuing to spotlight past winners that have made a significant impact on strengthening the housing ecosystem through improved operational efficiency, borrower communication and technology-driven workflow modernization.
This year, former Tech100 winner CLARIFIRE experienced several notable developments that reflect ongoing changes within servicing operations. CLARIFIRE, which first won Tech100 honors in 2017, has been recognized as a Tech100 winner each year since.
One major milestone for CLARIFIRE this year was achieving CSA STAR Level Two Attestation, a certification held by fewer than 60 cloud-based companies in the world. The designation followed two years of work to implement new controls, documentation and a Shared Security Responsibility Model, offering servicers increased transparency into the platform’s security practices.
CLARIFIRE also expanded its tools to support early-stage delinquency mitigation, introducing an updated CLARIFIRE Survey that allows servicers to build dynamic, adaptive intake workflows. The company added AI transcription to capture borrower conversations in real time and strengthened its document automation features to streamline the processing of incoming borrower documents. Additionally, CLARIFIRE delivered automated support for HUD’s updated loss-mitigation waterfall rules on the day they took effect.
Adoption of the platform continued among mortgage servicers. Towne Mortgage Co. implemented CLARIFIRE across its multistate footprint to improve the consistency of borrower support, while Merchants Bank selected the technology to enhance its loss-mitigation and default processes through real-time rules application and workflow automation.
